An Integral view to recover blind spots and boost performance

Speaking today to a group of business practitioners and managers, Alan Froggatt of Genratec, outlined an integral map from which to design and approach opportunities, business and blind spots.

Alan briefly detailed several issues facing us in our age. One of these, “cultural narcissism” (the impact of an exclusively individualistic point of view) to leads to business blindness. He also outlined an antidote to this growing problem in the approach of an integral map.

An integral map provides multiple points of view so that individuals and businesses can assess their leadership, business and opportunities from a 360 degree view. Having multiple lenses allows for the development of a more comprehensive solution but requires stepping beyond the exclusive identification of our individualistic point of view.

Alan also demonstrated the benefits of allowing multiple points of view, creating business opportunities, greater stakeholder relationships and a “change readiness” which is most important in these times.
